New Orleans is home of the largest concentrated Vietnamese
community in the United States. Although an asset, local leaders sought to
address the various challenges facing this population and develop ways to
integrate this growing community into mainstream society.VIET is a
501(c)3 organization since April 2002.
was established in 2001. It is the first
Vietnamese-American non-profit organization in Louisiana.
Our Mission:
VIET works to
develop educational and economic training programs and acts as a resource
center. It aims to eliminate existing barriers between Vietnamese
residents in New Orleans and English speaking citizens.
