PREPARE FOR THE UNEXPECTED

STREET
FLOODING
TIPS

  • Turn around, don’t drown – Never drive or walk through flooded streets. Even 6 inches of water can knock you down, and a foot of water can carry away most cars.

  • Avoid standing water – It may hide sinkholes, sharp debris, or downed power lines.

  • Do not drive around barricades – They are there for your safety.

  • Stay inside if safe – Avoid going outdoors until waters recede.
